Looking Forward To LeakyLondon!

Over the past few days, our Twitter feed has been full of tweets from happy wizards the world over who were making their way home from Leakycon in Portland. It’s not long to wait for the next LeakyCon though, and this time it’s in London and we shall be taking to the stage!

There’s lots and lots to look forward to for all you Leaky London goers – fun and frolics with friends, discussions about your favourite fandoms and of course plenty of wizard rock! We attended LeakyCon in Florida back in 2011, so we’re super super excited to be involved this time.
Here’s a few snaps from our first con experience, can’t wait to add some from this year…

The Wizarding Winter Fair – This Friday!

Hello lovely wizards and witches!

Well, it’s been quite a while since we’ve written here hasn’t it? Blimey. We’ve been very busy between the pair of us, Laura setting up her own online shop (find her lovely handcrafted things at www.goodnightboutique.com) and establishing our muggle band, Goodnight Astor, a bit more – check out our site for lots of exciting updates and blog posts dedicated to our unique blend of Victorian murder mystery and music!

Not to fear though, this Friday you can see us as Siriusly Hazza P at the Wizarding Winter Fair at Macclesfield Public Library. The event, held in our hometown, is sure to be lots of fun – a blend of cake, quiz, crafts, carols and wizard rock that will fulfill yearnings for Hogsmeade no problem.
Saturday, there’s an open invitation for everyone to hop on the train to nearby Manchester and enjoy everything it has to offer, as well as an exciting key hunt you can participate in. And why not attend the lovely local Treacle Market in Macclesfield town centre before you depart on Sunday? Lots of lovely stuff to behold there!

There’s lots more detail on the Facebook event page linked above. If you haven’t yet bought your ticket and you find yourself intrigued by what you have read – there’s a link for buying on said event page, tickets will otherwise be £7 at the door, or £2 if you hold a East Cheshire Library card (after all, having fun isn’t hard when you’ve got a library card – kudos if you get the reference)

We sincerely hope we see you there, as it promises to be a magical weekend of fun and festive frolicks!

Lots of love,
Siriusly Hazza P

Wizard Rock @ Cork Midsummer Festival!

We had such a good weekend in Cork! The show went great and we got to hang out with so many amazing wizards over the few days we were there.

In the ‘Shows’ part of the pictures section are a few pictures of our set for you to peruse and posted on our youtube channel is a video with just a tiny bit of the awesomeness packed in for you to watch! Unfortunately we didn’t get any footage of the show, but you can catch up with all that went on at Wizardrock.co.uk’s UStream channel, as they aired live & recorded the whole event – no excuses to miss out on the happenings now!

We’re itching to play more shows soon!

Tomorrow sees the online release of our new EP, Catfights and Cauldrons – as you may know if you follow us on Twitter, Youtube or Facebook.
The EP, priced at £5 and packaged in a hand-sewn pouch, will be available from the ‘buy’ page of our website – all you have to do is follow the link to paypal and hey presto!

You can find out more about what you’ll be getting through the review of the EP by Wizardrock.co.uk or by checking out the review video we posted on Youtube in which some lovely wrockers shared their thoughts on some of the songs.

So, um, yes, hold onto your hats!

The UK’s First House Show!

Our friend Neil Bird (of The Snow Ball fame!) just launched a new website dedicated entirely to UK and European Wizard Rock – wizardrock.co.uk which is very exciting indeed!

On Saturday, we played a show at his house in Scotland to celebrate his birthday as well as the launch of the site. We played our own songs, a Lady Gaga medley among other covers, and ended a song with a cry of ‘SCOTTISH PRIDE!’ (of course, in our best Scottish accents).
It was streamed live on UStream, but if you missed it at the time you can watch all the fun here!

We’re also excited to be the first featured band on the new website! Go check out our interview there, as well as all of the other wonderful content.
